Thokarpa, though just 75 km away from Kathmandu, is deprived of basic health care. The nearest health
centre is almost 55 kms away. Despite being a nodal centre to almost 23 VDCs, its connectivity with other
VDCs are extremely poor with only a single bus connecting once a day. This 15-bed hospital will cater to
an almost 50K population.
